Javier Ordóñez, Professor of Economics and researcher at the IEI, gave a lecture at the Catholic University of Uruguay as part of a series of conferences organised by the Institute of International Business, which, in addition to students and the general public, are attended by representatives of the business world and the diplomatic corps. For just over an hour, Javier Ordóñez analysed the main economic and financial channels through which the war in Ukraine could have an effect on the global economy.
At the end of the event, the Catholic University of Uruguay received congratulations from the U.S. Embassy in Uruguay, congratulating Javier Ordóñez for his clarity, breadth and concreteness, in a speech that he described as “a tremendous presentation” (May 26, 2022)
